Efficient and precise logistics thanks to colour strategy

During order picking, individual items are removed from the carton at the respective colour-coded packing station in order to record the serial numbers with a scanner. The carton from which the individual items were removed is then returned to its storage location in the flow channel. Coloured magnets with LEDs are used to mark the location from which the carton was originally removed. The use of the colour concept offers the following advantages:

Quick identification: The coloured magnets enable immediate visual identification of the correct storage location. This significantly reduces the search time and speeds up the entire picking process.

Error prevention: Clear colour coding minimises the risk of errors when returning cartons to the flow channel. This ensures greater accuracy and reliability in inventory management.

Simple implementation: The colour concept is easy to understand and does not require extensive staff training. The coloured magnets can be flexibly adapted to the needs and changes in the warehouse. Additional LEDs in use help employees to identify the magnets more easily.
