GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG commences operations at its state-of-the-art logistics centre in Rheinfelden
GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG has successfully completed the extension at its site in Rheinfelden. With the new logistics centre now operational, the company is expanding its capacity by around 14,000 square metres of warehouse and logistics space, whilst also embracing innovative technologies for the logistics of tomorrow.
The new facilities feature various temperature zones and are specifically designed to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Through this expansion, GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG is creating additional capacity to serve existing customers with even greater flexibility and to facilitate further growth.
“With the completion of the extension, we are sending a strong signal about the future of our company and our Rheinfelden site. This investment lays the foundations for further growth and enables us to continue offering our customers high-performance, bespoke logistics solutions in the future,” explains Toni Elbert, a member of the Executive Board.
In addition to the extra storage space, GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG is relying on modern digital solutions. At the new logistics centre, AI-supported systems analyse and optimise logistics processes, whilst intelligent robotics solutions assist staff with standardised and physically demanding tasks. The combination of human expertise, artificial intelligence and automation ensures efficient, flexible and future-oriented operations. With this extension, GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG is investing not only in additional space but also in innovative technologies. The integration of people, AI and robotic solutions opens up new opportunities to make processes more efficient and thus offer an even higher standard of service.
Sustainability also played a key role in the project’s implementation. The new building has been fitted with a photovoltaic system including battery storage, energy-efficient technical installations and smart lighting systems. In addition, charging points for electric lorries have been integrated to lay the groundwork for an increasingly electrified transport logistics sector.
With the completion of this construction project, GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG reaffirms its long-term commitment to the Rheinfelden site. At the same time, the expansion strengthens the company’s competitiveness and lays the foundations for sustainable growth in an increasingly digitalised logistics sector.
Yours,
GLG Grieshaber Logistics Group AG
