Grieshaber receives halal and kosher certification from the Orthodox Union and the Halal Food Authority
The successful business relationship with a manufacturer from the food supplement industry has already existed since 2016. In this project, we successfully implement the customer's warehousing and transport needs. As a partner on an equal footing, we handle the customer's land, air and sea freight transports and logistics to the customer's complete satisfaction. For example, in the past business year we were always able to reliably actively manage seasonal fluctuations in demand, resulting in extreme peaks in the quantities requested, through skilful personnel deployment planning, in order to guarantee the ability to deliver.
This cooperation has now been extended by a decisive factor with the attainment of halal and kosher certification: This means that the products we confection can now be distributed in new markets, allowing the benefits of the red wine extract on which the client's products are based to be enjoyed by a completely new target group.
The certification was made possible thanks to the smooth cooperation of those responsible from the administrative areas of quality management and purchasing as well as from strategic and operational project management. Together, they found an optimal solution that met the strict requirements of the Halal Food Authority and the Orthodox Union.
In addition to the procurement of specially required auxiliary materials for packing and packaging, existing processes had to be supplemented with technical aspects and employees had to be trained accordingly. The optimal conditions for a clean, qualitatively impeccable packaging process are provided at all times through the use of the clean room available at the Rheinfelden location. This overall package was also able to convince the representatives of the Orthodox Union and the Halal Food Authority in two separate audits, so that we are proud to have received this certificate.
With the receipt of this certificate, Grieshaber is now extending its high-quality range of services to the FMCG sector, and can now offer its customers a further value-added service.
