Keep it simple: Boosting quality and efficiency through the introduction of a colour concept

A new colour-coding concept has been successfully introduced at the Rhine-Main Logistics Park, specifically designed to improve quality and the flow of materials. The aim of this initiative is to reduce potential risks through clear and binding structures, whilst at the same time optimising processes in the long term.

At the heart of the concept is a consistent colour-coding system throughout the entire warehouse area. This has been implemented through both a standardised signage system and a uniform marking scheme using coloured cones. The result: greater transparency, higher process reliability and a significant increase in efficiency in day-to-day operations, which has already shown very positive results shortly after its introduction.

A key factor in the concept’s success is the high level of acceptance within the team. Staff consistently apply the colour scheme in their day-to-day work, thereby actively contributing to the stabilisation and continuous improvement of processes.
