Logistic solutions for a healthy future!

The business relationship between the biosimilars manufacturer based in Iceland has been in place since May 2022. As part of this project, Grieshaber is taking on various activities from the area of procurement and warehouse logistics.

The challenge of this project is to combine the requirements of a medical manufacturer with the tasks of the different logistics segments. In addition to the handling of full pallets in the temperature-controlled range of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, which are monitored by means of data loggers, Grieshaber's tasks also include shipments in transit status as well as custody in a bonded warehouse, including the mapping of customs procedures, and documentation for market releases within the EU.

Thanks to an already existing transport organisation for refrigerated transports, which are subject to the GDP guidelines, Grieshaber was able to quickly integrate the transports within the scope of procurement logistics into the existing structures and thus generate significant savings for the customer as well as reductions in transport times.
In the future, the procurement logistics from the Icelandic customer location to the contract manufacturers in Switzerland and Great Britain as well as the subsequent transports from the contract manufacturers to the location in Rheinfelden are to be taken over.

These highly complex delivery transports are an optimal addition to Grieshaber's GDP transport department. All deliveries are subject to GMP/GDP guidelines and strict temperature and air pressure regulations. The transports are carried out exclusively with pre-validated and qualified partners. The respective transport routes were subjected to a lane risk assessment and subsequently approved by the customer.

Grieshaber Logistics Group AG is pleased about the new customer acquisition and the further future development and expansion of the business relationship based on partnership, which still offers a lot of potential.

Yours,
Grieshaber Logistics Group AG
