'Our first fully electric truck is here'
Since the company was founded in 1951, Grieshaber Logistics Group AG has attached great importance to a well-maintained and always modern vehicle fleet. As part of achieving its goal of becoming a climate-neutral logistics company, Grieshaber purchased a 100 per cent bio-gas-powered tractor unit in May 2023, and the bio-gas fleet was expanded to three vehicles in Nov. 2024, reducing CO2 emissions by around 85 per cent.
On 06 June 2025, the time had finally come. The first fully electric lorry, a Mercedes E-Actros 600, was added to the Grieshaber fleet. The purchase of this all-electric lorry marks the beginning of a new era in mobility for the Grieshaber Group. The modern e-vehicle currently covers around 420 kilometres a day, and impresses with a remaining capacity of around 30% at the end of the tour.
As part of this acquisition, a dedicated electric charging infrastructure was created at the Bad Säckingen site. Grieshaber has currently put a Hypercharger Alpitronic charging station into operation for this purpose, which is designed for a maximum output of 400 kW. The electric truck used saves 100 per cent CO2, as it is powered exclusively by green electricity. Two more Hyperchargers are planned for the extension in Rheinfelden.
By purchasing the electric lorry, Grieshaber has taken a big step towards its goal of reducing the CO² emissions of its own lorry fleet by 50% by 2030.
