Responsibility for the world of tomorrow - The Grieshaber sustainability strategy and its measures

By consistently realising environmentally friendly and sustainable transport and logistics concepts and consciously focusing on environmentally oriented process management throughout the company, we face up to our ecological responsibility in our daily activities. In doing so, we constantly orientate ourselves towards forward-looking technological developments and changes in the economic environment.

With our DIN EN ISO 14001 certification in July 2009, we have proven and audited our path from quality-orientated company management to environmentally oriented and sustainable company management and documented our commitment to the environment. For us, however, the value of this certificate goes far beyond its standardising character; for us it lies in the unequivocal anchoring of our ecological commitment in our corporate self-image and the documentation of our conviction. We fulfil this conviction in our daily work with various approaches, all of which pursue the overarching goal of becoming a climate-neutral logistics company.For example, Grieshaber switched to green electricity from renewable sources at the beginning of the year.

However, these goals are no longer just internal company goals. In autumn 2022, Grieshaber decided to join the Climate Council of the city of Rheinfelden, thereby committing itself to pursuing climate policy goals of various stakeholders in relation to urban development, energy, mobility and sustainable business and work. Responsibility for the world of tomorrow!

Grieshaber's internal climate strategy, the so-called ‘sustainability roadmap’, comprises measures from the following overarching areas

• warehouse,
• emissions and
• transport.
