Successful implementation of an additional freezer project at Logistik Park Hochrhein

In December 2022, Grieshaber was able to acquire for the location in Rheinfelden, a world-leading research and development-oriented pharmaceutical company with a focus on the development of innovative preparations for the treatment of diseases in the fields of neurology and oncology.

The active ingredients are primarily antibodies for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For this purpose, 26 stand-alone freezers in the temperature range of -40°C were purchased, qualified and integrated into the constantly growing "freezer farm" in the Hochrein logistics park. After full approval for the medicine was granted in July 2023, the logistics processes were subsequently coordinated with the customer to ensure a stable supply chain and all regulations regarding physical import were checked with the authorities.

In October 2023, the first goods receipt took place at the Hochrhein Logistics Park. Special shipping containers are used for shipping, which are each loaded with up to 200 kg of dry ice in the form of blocks, nuggets or pellets. This ensures temperature control within the supply chain.

The project team is delighted to have won this new customer and looks forward to a successful and growing collaboration.
