Successful implementation of new customer in the Weiterstadt duty-free warehouse

The Grieshaber Group is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of a new customer, a renowned pharmaceutical manufacturer specialising in gynaecological and dermatological products. As part of the project, high-quality APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients) will be accepted, stored professionally and processed efficiently – all in compliance with the strictest pharmaceutical, logistical and customs regulations.

This project places particularly high demands on security, documentation and process quality. In addition to the strict requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, the goods are classified as dangerous goods and customs warehouse goods. In order to meet these special requirements, an approved customs warehouse was set up at the Weiterstadt Logistics Centre. Approval was granted following a successful acceptance inspection by the relevant authorities.

The new bonded warehouse in Weiterstadt is not only optimised for the pharmaceutical sector, but also meets the requirements of the German Ordinance on Flammable Liquids (VbF).

As a so-called VBF warehouse, it enables the safe and legally compliant storage of hazardous substances of various categories. Strict compliance with structural and safety regulations is ensured – from fire protection systems and access controls to automated temperature monitoring systems.

The successful acquisition of new customers underscores the Grieshaber Group's commitment to quality, reliability and tailor-made logistics solutions. The combination of technical infrastructure, regulatory expertise and partnership-based cooperation was crucial to the successful launch of the project.
