Successful ISO 50001 certification: another step towards energy efficiency and sustainability
Grieshaber Logistics Group AG has been successfully certified according to ISO 50001 – Energy Management Systems. ISO 50001 is an internationally recognised standard for energy management systems. It supports companies in systematically recording their own energy consumption, identifying potential savings and continuously increasing energy efficiency.
With this recognised standard, Grieshaber is sending a clear signal for sustainable and responsible corporate management.
The path to certification
In a multi-stage process, existing processes were analysed and measures to optimise energy consumption were introduced. These included, among other things:
- detailed recording and evaluation of energy flows,
- definition of SEUs (Significant Energy Uses),
- establishment of energy indicators,
- raising awareness and training our employees,
- establishment of an energy policy,
- and investment in modern and energy-efficient technologies.
After intensive preparation and an independent three-day audit by an accredited certification body, the Grieshaber Group now has the ISO 50001 energy management system certificate.
