What is security?

With his statement, Anton Neuhäusler describes security as an unreal state. Is this so? Security by definition is a state for individuals, communities, objects or systems which is free of unacceptable risks. Can we therefore talk about security? Are unjustifiable risks always to be defined or excluded? Or can we agree with Neuhäusler's statement? What do you associate security with? With a place, a person, a situation?

Our world has become more complex and uncertain in many ways. The terrorist attacks of recent years have made this very clear to us. But it is not only the terrorist threat, but also the complex interrelationships of an increasingly globalized world and the associated rapidity of developments that many people perceive as a threat and feel increasingly insecure as a result.

What does security mean to you?
