Working together for a healthy climate
Last autumn, the Climate Council of the City of Rheinfelden was founded. Within the framework of an application and draw procedure, stakeholders from a wide range of areas, be they private individuals or actors from public and private-sector institutions, were able to apply for this or join it.
During the selection process, a total of 30 places were allocated, of which 15 places went to stakeholders from business, nature and climate associations and youth representatives. The other 15 places were allocated by drawing lots among the applicants received.
The aim of the climate advisory board is to successfully advance climate protection work in Rheinfelden. The advisory board deals with the following overriding topics in various working groups
- Urban development,
- energy,
- mobility and
- Sustainable management & working
in relation to climate policy goals. In view of this challenging task, a composition of the advisory board with a wide diversification of social representatives was deliberately chosen.
