Bachelor of Science (DHBW) Business Informatics - Application Management

Bachelor of Science (DHBW) Business Informatics - Application Management

The DHBW study programme in Business Information Systems - Application Management offers interested high school graduates a practical alternative to university studies. This degree programme is aimed at interested students who have analytical and logical thinking skills and who enjoy dealing with current IT technologies. The special feature of this degree programme is the combination of the two subject areas of computer science and economics. Business informatics, with its interdisciplinary character, takes on an interface function between the often technically oriented computer science and the application-oriented business administration. Students analyse business processes from a business perspective and define their own IT concepts for implementation. Graduates are able to develop information and communication systems in a goal-oriented manner, introduce them efficiently and support them reliably. A basis for successful study is openness to the special features of the two different fields, economics and computer science. A good prerequisite for the degree programme is a sound knowledge of mathematics or natural sciences. The candidate should have an inclination for independent thinking as well as good communication skills.
